Farnaz Esnashari-Charmatz is the creator and executive producer of Shimmer and Shine. She also was the post production supervisor for Dora the Explorer, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Go, Diego, Go!, and Ni Hao, Kai-Lan! She started working at Nickelodeon in 2005, where she started with Dora the Explorer, My Life As A Teenage Robot, and Go, Diego, Go! When 2006 came, Farnaz was told that she couldn't be a supervisor for some reason. At that time, she started to work on Shimmer and Shine. In 2009 she started pitching the show ideas and she started and got the concept 5 years before Shimmer and Shine made it to TV.
